Heteroscodra maculata Adults
25 on 25 on 25 cm measurements.
They consist of semi arboreal/arboreal hardscape (bark, leaves, etc..) with a lot of substrate.
I noticed Poecilotheria are most at ease in complete vertical, long, hollow tubes (hollow cork) while H. macs tend to prefer tubes which are filled with dirt.
They are profuse webbers and use the dirt, moss and whatever they can find to compact their webs.. always near the substrate working their way up. For this, I might say they are semi arboreal in behaviour, not needing long vertical tubes. They enjoy things to climb on, but they enjoy dirt too.
The cork is arranged so both halves wedge in the middle. It has begun spinning a web right in the middle of one enclosure. The other ones clearly still need substrate, but the arrangement will look like in the pictures. My other 3 H macs are still too small to house them in an enclosure of this size.
